Refer a Cleaner is a private, multi-service agency employing trained and vetted staff at competitive rates.

We have grown by word of mouth, hence “refer a cleaner” and now offer a full complement of services to both residential and corporate clients.

We are very well established in Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Kensington and Mayfair, but also cover all areas of Central London..

Our rates are fully inclusive and we operate seven days a week.

OUR STAFF ARE PAID ON THE DAY THEY CARRY OUT THE WORK AND WE HAVE DIFFERENT RATES FOR REGULAR AND OCCASIONAL CLIENTS.

LATE PAYMENT FEES APPLY.

Regular Residential cleaning (min. charge 2 hours) - £10 per hour net. If we provide our own quality detergents, we will add a small charge to the invoice.
Occasional Residential cleaning (min. charge 2 hours) - £11 per hour net/ £12 per hour for occasional cleaning on Sat. and Sun.
Handyman - £35 per hour for the first hour, £18 for next and each half hour
Removals - £50 per hour (two men and large van) or per quote
Office or shop cleaning (min. charge 2 hours) - £14 per hour
Key keeping - £10 a month

Spring cleaning – we will quote based on size of house
After builders work (touch up and/or cleaning) – we will quote based on size of project/job
Upholstery/carpet cleaning – charged per room
Clothes valetting - £10 per hour
*NEW*! Alterations, clothes/curtains, etc. collected and delivered - quote based on project
Ironing - £10 per hour
Shopping - £7 per hour
Dog walking/exercising in Battersea Park - £8 per dog per hour, £4 for each additional dog from same family
Office, shop and home maintenance/redecorating/minor appliances repair - fees as for handyman above
Gardening, furniture/floor varnishing - £11 per hour
Party help - £12 per hour
Child minding/babysitting/school drop off/collection - £10 per hour for one child, plus £5 per each additional child or £64 per 8 hour day, £300 per week. Ask us for a special quote if you want the babysitter to look after/collect a pool of children.
Driving - £8 per hour if driving your car or £10 if you use ours (minimum charges apply)
Car valetting - £30 per average car
Windows/Glass cleaning - quote based on project
Power Washing - £11 per hour or quote based on project

If you have special requests or needs, please, ask us and we will happily give you a quote.

Our staff are not medically trained but would happily look after the elderly, escort the partially disabled and help you save valuable time.

If we don’t have a person qualified to deal with your request, we would either source one out or refer you to people who can be of assistance.

Terms and conditions

We accept payment by direct debit, credit card (4% surcharge applied) or cheque. Payments are made in advance directly to our company account.
Late payment charges apply at 10% per week.
We undertake to replace a cleaner/helper if a customer is not satisfied with the quality of service
We charge a late cancellation fee of £10 if the cancellation is made within 24 hours of appointment. No cancellation fee applies if cancellation is made more than 24 hours in advance.
Even if our staff do not speak much English (and many of them do), they do expect to be treated with respect and consideration. Tips are left at the discretion of the customer, but not expected.
